If you love children, then it makes sense to start a business that caters to that interest. One of the important things in choosing a business is that you have some expertise, and interest in it. And, if you love something, you're more likely to get the expertise you need to be truly successful even if you don't have it already.

If you want an offline business idea, you could start a home day care business. There's a huge demand for day care services. These days, most families can't afford not to have both parents working. On top of that, many women can't afford to take too long out of their profession if they want to advance in terms of promotion. Add to that all the single mothers that you have, and it's easy to see why there is such a demand for day care centers.

In fact, in Australia at least, the demand far outstrips the supply. This is probably true in most countries. So, not only will a day care business have a great demand for their services, but they are very well paid too.

You can choose to run a small, home based day care business, or run a larger center. It's up to you. Both are good choices. If you don't have the funds to set up in a commercial space, and hire extra staff, then it's probably a good idea to start out small. My sister in law's mother does this. She takes care of a small number of children 5 days a week, and she's always booked out. In fact, she's fully booked with regular clients, which is nice for her and the kids. If you wanted to have a kid themed membership site that was geared towards parents, you could cover anything from home schooling, craft activities, help with raising a child, or any number of topics that are geared towards Moms but with a theme that caters to some aspect of their relationship with them.

Or you could have a membership site for kids. If this is the case, it would be best to decide on what ages you're going to try and reach. It could be helping them with school, helping them with bullying or fitting in, teaching them something like crafts, or coaching a particular sport. If it's for kids, it should be restricted to kids however, so it is a trusted place and no predators find their way in.

Membership sites tend to have forums and some type of interaction between members. There is a strong community that builds within them, so if it's a place that kids congregate online, then you'll need to take steps to make sure it is safe.
